Front-End Frameworks

React, Vue.js, Angular, Svelte: every front-end framework

Once built, a front-end app is just a set of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. So it runs on every plan, starting with Nano.

React hosting

Apps built with Vite or Create React App, with React Router: upload the dist/ or build/ folder.

Vue.js hosting

Vue 3 apps with Vite and Vue Router, or Nuxt sites generated with nuxt generate.

Angular

Build with ng build and upload the contents of dist/<project>/browser/. Ideal for dashboards and business apps.

Svelte and SvelteKit

Svelte apps with Vite, or SvelteKit with adapter-static: lightweight, very fast sites.

Astro

Content sites, blogs, and documentation generated as plain HTML, with your React, Vue, or Svelte components where you need them.

Static export

Next.js and Nuxt

As a static export, they run here like any other site. For server-side rendering, see our Node.js hosting.

Generators

Hugo, Eleventy, Jekyll

The classic static site generators: build on your machine, upload the public/ or _site/ folder.

HTML

HTML and CSS sites

The simplest showcase site, handwritten or exported from a design tool, is served at full speed.

Deployment

Deploy a React or Vue.js site in 4 steps

The same process works for Angular, Svelte, Astro, and every static site.

  1. Build your app

On your machine, set your variables in .env.production, then run npm run build. You get a production-ready dist/ (or build/) folder.

  2. Upload the output folder

Upload the contents of that folder to public_html (or your subdomain's folder) over SFTP, Rsync, or with the cPanel File Manager.

  3. Add the .htaccess file

Essential if your app uses React Router or Vue Router: it sends every URL to index.html so the page works even when the visitor refreshes it. Without it, you get a 404 error. Tip: put it in the public/ folder of your Vite or Create React App project and it gets copied to dist/ (or build/) on every build.

  4. Automatic SSL: you're live

The free SSL certificate is installed automatically on your domain. Your site is served by LiteSpeed over HTTP/3, with Brotli compression.

.htaccess — single-page apps (SPA)
# Sends every unknown URL to index.html
# (React Router, Vue Router, Angular Router…)
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.html$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . index.html [L]
Read directly by LiteSpeed, with no other configuration. Our React and Vue.js deployment guide covers each step in detail.
Included for Front-End Developers

Everything you need for a fast front-end site

Included on every plan, starting with Nano.

LiteSpeed Web Server

Your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files served at full speed, with Brotli compression.

HTTP/3 and QUIC

The many files of a modern app load in parallel, even on a mobile network.

Free SSL and Security

Automatic SSL certificates, Imunify360 firewall, and account isolation: your app is served over HTTPS from day one.

Unlimited Bandwidth

No surprise bill if a post goes viral or your app draws a crowd.

Mailboxes

contact@mysite.com and your other addresses, available on the web or in your email app.

Your Choice of Back End

Node.js, Python, or PHP on the same account, for your API, forms, or authentication.

MySQL / MariaDB and SQLite

A real database for your API, or SQLite for lighter projects. phpMyAdmin is preinstalled to manage your MySQL databases.

SFTP, SSH, and Rsync

Publish a new version with one command from your machine or your CI pipeline.

Twice-Daily Backups

30 days of backups you can restore yourself from cPanel after a bad deploy.

Shared or VPS?

Is shared hosting right for your React or Vue.js site?

For a built front-end app, the answer is almost always yes. Here are the rare cases where a dedicated server is a better choice.

Ideal for

  • React, Vue.js, Angular, or Svelte apps: dashboards, internal tools, business apps
  • A front end and its API on the same account: a Node.js, Python, or PHP back end, with MySQL
  • Generated content sites: Astro, Hugo, Eleventy, Next.js or Nuxt static exports
  • Showcase sites, portfolios, and landing pages in HTML and CSS
  • Projects with unpredictable traffic: unlimited bandwidth, no usage-based billing

Better on a VPS

  • High-traffic Next.js or Nuxt server-side rendering, with incremental static regeneration (ISR)
  • Docker containers or multiple services communicating with each other
  • Root access or a custom web server configuration

Frequently Asked Questions

React, Vue.js, and static site hosting questions

Why does my React or Vue page show a 404 error when I refresh it?

Because React Router and Vue Router handle URLs in the browser, but the server looks for a real file at that URL. The fix: an .htaccess file that sends every unknown URL to index.html (see the example above). Our LiteSpeed servers read it directly, with no other configuration.

Can I host Next.js or Nuxt?

Yes. As a static export (output: 'export' for Next.js, which produces the out/ folder; nuxt generate for Nuxt, which produces .output/public/), your site is a set of HTML files served by LiteSpeed on every plan. For server-side rendering (SSR), your app runs on Node.js on the same account: see our Node.js hosting.

How do I handle environment variables?

In a front-end app, variables (VITE_… with Vite, REACT_APP_… with Create React App) are embedded at build time. Set them in your .env.production file before running npm run build; with Angular, use the environment.ts files. Never put a secret key in the front end: every visitor could see it.

Can I host my API on the same account?

Yes. Your front end can be served on mysite.com and your Node.js, Python, or PHP API on api.mysite.com, with a MySQL or SQLite database, all on the same plan.

Can I publish my site in a subfolder?

Yes. Set the path at build time (base in Vite, homepage for Create React App, --base-href for Angular), also give it to your router (basename for React Router), and adjust the RewriteBase line in the .htaccess file.

What's the difference from Vercel or Netlify?

Those platforms are excellent for deploy previews and edge functions. With us, you get your site, domain name, mailboxes, back end, and database in one place, at a fixed price, with no usage-based billing.

Which plan should I choose for a React or Vue.js site?

A built app rarely weighs more than a few dozen MB: the Nano plan (750 MB) is enough for one site. Choose the Micro or Vtiny plan if you add a back end, lots of images, or several mailboxes.
